Pakistan participates in multinational drill ‘Bright Star’ in Egypt

Pakistani tri-service contingent comprised of Army, Navy, and Air Force troops engaged in international military exercise Bright Star 2021.
The event was conducted at Mohamed Naguib Military Base, Egypt, the military media wing reported.
The two-week-long exercise was conducted with the aim to counter regional hybrid threats, strengthen regional stability by fostering combined force interoperability, joint force integration, and enhance maritime security operations.
The ISPR stated that after 2009, it was the first time that Pakistani troops took part in Multinational Exercise Bright Star. The 20 countries that participated in the drill included Egypt, United States, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Cyprus, Iraq, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco, Kenya, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Greece, Kuwait, UAE, Tunisia, Nigeria, Tanzania and France.
