KP Govt To Initiate Safe City Project In Phases

The KP govt has decided to execute the Peshawar Safe City project in a phased manner that will cost Rs 19 billion. The project is aiming to make the provincial capital a safer city for everyone. The project will be a pilot project in its first phase and it will start from Hayatabad which will be extended to further areas in the next phases. A high-level meeting was conducted with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan in the chair.

According to the report, about 500 CCTV would be installed in the city at different 96 points of Hayatabad and a long fiber optic cable also be installed to integrate the CCTV cameras. The pilot project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
