KP CM orders ban on construction activities in forest areas

Taking notice of the illegal construction activities being kicked off in forest areas in Makhnial district, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has ordered the officials to immediately halt the construction and impose a ban on such activities.

A high-level meeting was chaired by the CM where he ordered the imposition of Section 144 to this effect and stern implementation, adding that strict actions under Section 188 of the Pakistan Panel Code against those who violated the Section.

The CM directed the officials of the Local Government Department to initiate strict action against the Tehsil Municipal Officer of Haripur for granting illegal NOCs for the construction of commercial buildings in the Guzara forests of Makhnyal Haripur.
