30 IT, Telecom sector projects approved

With an allocation of more than Rs18 billion, the Policy Committee of the Universal Service Fund (USF) endorsed 30 projects for the Fiscal year 22.

The Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque, stated that the infrastructure development for uninterrupted high-speed mobile broadband service is needed at this time for national highways.

A key prerequisite for the future digital needs of the country would be access to optical fiber cable networks at all Union Council levels.

It is pertinent to mention that a total of six projects was approved in FY19, 12 in FY20, and 25 in FY21.
