Expressway To Link Gwadar With Highways To Boost Socio-Economic Development
To expand the transportation between Gwadar and other places in the country, the Eastbay Express will connect Gwadar Port with Pakistan’s national highways. Chinese Foreign Minister spokesperson Zhao Lijian said to the press, “The artery will further harness Gwadar Port’s role as an international logistics hub and boost socio-economic development in the Gwadar Port region.”
The Eastbay Expressway is a $153 million project under the CPEC promoting regional connectivity as it starts from China-Pak Friendship Avenue at Gwadar Port and converges at the existing Makran Coastal N-10 Highway. It will boost the connectivity, especially with the transportation of goods from the port all the way to the country’s southern port city of Karachi.
