Punjab commences Digital mapping of Lahore, other urban centers in $150m
In a historic move, for the first time, the Board of Revenue Punjab has launched digital mapping of urban cities of Punjab under the foreign-funded $150 million project.
Under the project “the Cadaster of Punjab,” the digital mapping of all the buildings of Lahore will be carried out in the first phase and numbers would be allotted to all buildings.
With the completion of digital mapping, the immovable properties Khasra [legal Revenue Department document] number would be abolished.
According to the Board of Revenue, fake claims of lands will no more work as the amendment in this process is underway. Smart cards have been issued to the stamp paper sellers.
