Islamabad becomes the first city with 50% fully vaccinated population

With the country’s juggernaut of a vaccination drive in full swing, Islamabad has become the first city to have at least 50% of the population fully vaccinated.
The Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, stated on his Twitter account. The tweet read that 71% of Islamabad’s eligible population had received at least 1 dose of the Covid-19 vaccine dose. Need to see an acceleration of the second dose in other cities.
According to National Commands and Operation Center statistics, about 21,613,626 people have so far been fully vaccinated across the country. In the last 24 hours, the country reported 58 more deaths while 3,153 positive cases in the country.
