CDA Updates on Margalla Avenue and E-11 Link Road

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) shared updates on the construction progress of two road projects in Islamabad. Moreover, the construction of the interchange and the link road connecting Margalla Avenue with E-11 will be completed by the end of this month, February 2024.

The construction work on the 5.5 km road along with the interchange was initiated in December 2022, and was expected to be completed in 2023 but faced delays, now the CDA officials confirmed that the project will be soon completed within 13 days.

Apart from the construction of a 5.5 km road from D-12, the project also included the construction of a flyover and interchange at E-11. After the completion of the project, it will assist in alleviating traffic congestion and enhance connectivity with the capital city.

The link road project was initiated as the commuters faced challenges while reaching to D-12 because there is huge traffic on Margalla Avenue spanning almost 10 kilometer from GT Road to D-12. So, CDA initiated the project to sort out the transport issues of the adjacent sectors.

In addition to smooth traffic flow, the CDA also announced plans for construction of the 11th Avenue.
