CM Punjab directs to expedite PSCA projects in three major cities
Lahore: Mohsin Naqvi, Caretaker CM Punjab, issued directives to the authorities to accelerate the civil works of PSCA (Punjab Safe City Authority) in Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad.
Furthermore, the CM set a deadline of December 31 for these developments and urged them to complete them promptly. The Chief Minister also instructed commissioners and Regional Police Officers, while chairing a meeting at PSCA’s head office in Lahore, to conduct regular monitoring of the progress. He further instructed to submit daily progress reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
The safe city project includes the installation of 700 CCTV cameras in Gujranwala, 750 in Rawalpindi, and 600 cameras in Faisalabad. The CM highlighted the importance of the overall security infrastructure of these cities. Furthermore, CM Naqvi also declared the official inauguration of the Gulberg Sports Complex. His inspection of the gymnasium, badminton indoor hall, and swimming pool reflects his commitment to promoting sports.
Moreover, the CM examined the exercise machinery and facilities of the ladies’ gym. During his visit, he also observed the process of taking membership in a sports complex through LDA (Lahore Development Authority).
For appreciation, CM Mohsin Naqvi paid the fee and became the first member of the sports complex. He supported a healthy and active lifestyle while engaging in sports, including snooker and badminton. Furthermore, he also inspected the commercial zone linked to the sports complex.
