Cancer Patients Will Get Free Medicines At KP’s Regional Hospitals

The government has offered to provide free oral drugs to blood cancer patients at the regional hospitals on Sehat Card Plus. The government has been also providing free medicines at the oncology department of Hayatabad Medical Complex since 2014 but every other patient has to visit Peshawar for free medicines every month. It was very difficult for them to come from far areas which is why this idea was initiated to include oral cancer treatment in Sehat Card Plus so everyone can receive free medication in their dedicated native areas.

The free cancer treatment program has made a significant difference with more than 20,000 patients of blood cancer benefiting from it and undergoing free checkups and medicines.
