Saudi Delegation to Visit Pakistan for Economic Discussions - ahgroup-pk

Islamabad: A distinguished delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by the honorable Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, will visit Pakistan on April 15-16, 2024, in a display of diplomatic goodwill and economic cooperation.

The high-level delegation comprises esteemed officials holding top positions. Among them are Eng Abdul Rahman Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadley, Minister of Water and Agriculture; Bandar Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources; Badr AlBadr, Deputy Minister of Investment; Mohammad Mazyed Al Towaijri, Head of Saudi Special Committee; and other notable senior officials from the Ministry of Energy and Saudi Fund for General Investments.

This visit aims to accelerate the follow-up process on the agreement reached between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Mohammad bin Salman in their recent meeting in Makkah Al Mukarramah and boost the economic ties between Pakistan and KSA. Last week, the Saudi authorities consented to increase their stakes in the State Bank of Pakistan from $3 billion to $5 billion.

The Saudi delegation’s forthcoming visit is anticipated to encompass meetings with various high-ranking officials, including the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, counterpart Ministers, COAS, and Apex Committee of SIFC.

The principal aim of this diplomatic undertaking is to provide a positive impetus to augmented bilateral cooperation and to foster a mutually beneficial economic partnership.
