Pakistan’s exports rise by 43pc to $2.257bn in Aug’21
Despite the growth been badly affected by shipment delays owing to the recent rainfalls, the country’s exports grew 43% to $2.257 billion in August 2021 in comparison to $1.584 billion in August 2020.
“The exports for August 2021 are short by USD143mn of our monthly target of USD2.4bn for the month”, announced Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood.
He stated on his Twitter account that exports in August 2021 fell $143 million short of the monthly target of $2.4 billion. “I urge exporters to double their efforts to market exports in order to achieve our target,” he said.
