Pakistan successfully test-fires nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi
Pakistan conducted a successful training launch of a surface-to-surface nuclear-capable ballistic missile Ghaznavi, which can strike up to 290 kilometers, reported the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The statement reads that the training was aimed at ensuring the operational readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC) as well as revalidating technical parameters of the weapon system.
The launch of Ghaznavi was witnessed by Commander Army Strategic Forces Command Lt Gen Muhammad Ali, officials from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, and other engineers and scientists.
The Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, and other officials appreciated the excellent standard of training and congratulated all ranks of Army Strategic Forces Command on the successful conduct of today’s launch.
