Pakistan records highest cement sales since 1990
Breaking a record, the cement factories in Pakistan have marked their highest sales in the financial year 2020-21 since 1990.
The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association reported that under the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme and enormous spending under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), local cement sales surged by 20.40 percent to 48.119 million tonnes in FY21 from 39.965m tonnes in FY20.
Subsequently, growing the local sales and exports by 20 PC to 57.433m tonnes from 47.812m tonnes in FY20.
