Exports rise to record high of $25.3b

In a historical first, the exports of goods grew by 18 percent to $25.3 billion during the fiscal year 2020-21.
The Ministry of Commerce released a statement that reads that exports registered an increase of 18% on a year-long basis.
The adviser to the PM on Commerce Abdul Razak lauded the exporters for achieving the feat despite the pandemic. He said “Export value of services for the full fiscal year is projected at $5.9 billion,” he said. “Hence, the cumulative export of goods and services during FY21 is likely to cross $31 billion.”
