“Ehsaas Savings Wallets” for the empowerment of women

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Dr. Sania Nishtar stated that the first-ever newly launched ‘Ehsaas Saving Wallets’ project would play a pivotal role in putting an end to poverty and empowering women economically.

Dr. Sania Nishtar further maintained that the government is making strenuous efforts to uplift the marginalized segments of society. Adding that financial freedom is an effective way to provide an opportunity to the poor community of the society, this way they will be added to the development as well.

The pilot initiative of Ehsaas Wallet was launched for seven million poor women registered with the government as Kafaalat beneficiaries under Ehsaas Program.
