ECC endorses payment of the first installments to IPPs
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) gave a green signal to pay the first installment of Rs.89billion to 35 Independent Power Producers (IPPs) out of a total of 47.
While payment to the remaining 12 IPPs may be held back owing to NAB investigations.
In a meeting chaired by the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin wherein the Power Division in Islamabad presented a summary regarding the release of the first installment of payment to IPPs.
