Cabinet gives green signal to first-ever cybersecurity policy
The federal cabinet has approved the first-ever cybersecurity policy in a bid to improve national security amid the looming threat of cyber-warfare.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry while addressing a news conference stated that the world is gripped in cyber warfare at a rapid pace and the government has planned a comprehensive policy in that regard, which is crucial to protect the cybersecurity regime and digital data of citizens.
The policy framework envisages developing safe and secure cyber systems and networks for national cyber response and security.
