235 Chinese staff returns to Pakistan for construction of CPEC

About 235 personnel from PowerChina International Group Limited and 31 laborers from other companies have returned to Pakistan for the construction of CPEC projects.

According to PowerChina, the staff will participate in the construction of Diamer-Bhashah Dam, Lucky Coal-fired Power Station, Wind Power Project Group, and Thar Power Station Project.

The construction has been executed under the requirements of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council of China (SASAC), the government of Pakistan, and embassies of the two countries.

In order to reduce the risk of COVID19, all the 266 staff will be quarantined for 14 days after landing in Pakistan.

PowerChina is a wholly state-owned hydropower project contract in China established in 1950, currently consists of 779 companies.
