Samsung to set up TV manufacturing plant in Karachi
Samsung Electronics, a South Korean technology, in collaboration with R & R Industries, is in the process of establishing a television lineup plant in Karachi.
“I have been informed that Samsung will soon start production of televisions,” Commerce Adviser Razak Dawood stated, adding that “This is a vindication of the Ministry of Commerce ‘Make-in-Pakistan’ policy of industrialization through rationalization of input costs and other incentives,” he said.
The goal is to produce 50,000 television units per annum and it will begin working in the fourth quarter of the current year.
