PM lays foundation of Margalla Avenue project

Prime Minister Imran Khan today performed ground-breaking of Islamabad-Margalla Highway, Margalla Avenue. During the ceremony, he stated that given the population of Islamabad city, there is a need to develop more road infrastructure projects. He assured that the protection of the environment will be fully taken care of whilst executing the projects. He further said that the Highway project will ensure the protection of Margalla Hills National Park. The Margalla Avenue will link M-1 to Murree Road and it will connect GT Road with E-10 and Constitution Avenue as well, stated Senator Faisal Javed stated in a tweet. He maintained that the project was part of the Master Plan of Islamabad prepared in 1960 but could not be constructed as yet. However, the Capital Development Authority is working on this project.
