PM launches app for biometric verification

Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the “Pak-ID” mobile application developed by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) which will capture biometrics and scan documents using smartphones.
An official statement was released by NADRA that read that Imran applauded Nadra Chairman Tariq Malik’s innovative idea of the mobile app which is a step towards implementing the PM’s vision of an inclusive registration ad digital Pakistan.
The document further said that with the development of the NADRA Pak-ID app, Pakistan has become a trailblazer in the ID Management Industry.
