With the mutual partnership of Islamabad and Beijing, 35 Pakistani students were able to become the owner of e-commerce companies in the country. A variety of courses regarding entrepreneurship were offered to the students.

The courses were offered at the Dawood University of Engineering and Technology where the first course was made possible with the help of Hunan Chemical, Vocational and Technical College (DUET). The students were taught with briefings about the e-commerce industry and how they can work to become business owners on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) e-commerce platform.

The Chinese language was also taught to the students so they can communicate well & learn ways to access the Chinese market with their minimum investment.

DUET Vice-Chairman Dr Faizullah Abbasi said, “We are working with the education department of Gansu province and Lanzhou University to introduce the online BRI e-commerce classes.” He further commented that this step will further establish a great relationship between the educational sector of both countries.
