Pakistan Finished CPEC’s Projects Worth $25b
While speaking at the Third Belt and Road Forum – BRF in Beijing, the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan said that over 50 projects have been completed under CPEC worth $25 billion.
Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor – CPEC is a leading project under China’s BRI. Over 65 billion dollars are inducted for infrastructure development in Pakistan, including rail lines and road construction.
While speaking at BRF, he added that an airport at southwestern Gwadar port has been constructed under the CPEC program, and the inauguration ceremony will be conducted soon. Many projects are complete, and a few are still in the pipeline. The clean energy projects are expected to be finished in 5 years.
On the occasion, the Chinese President added that CPEC started about ten years ago, and it aims to construct energy networks and infrastructure that will connect Europe, Asia and Africa through maritime and overland routes.
The BRF was attended by 130 + countries representatives and several heads of the states, particularly from the South. The most prominent state head who attended the forum was Russian President Vladimir.
