NTDC's Successful Grid System Enhancement Project in Collaboration with JICA - ahgroup-pk

Lahore: With the support of JICA Japan and AEC Japan consultants, the National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) has successfully completed a project aimed at enhancing grid system operations and maintenance by strengthening the NTDC TSG Training Centre in Lahore.

This achievement was part of the ongoing Third Technical Cooperation Grant Aid Project by JICA Japan, in collaboration with AEC Japan Consultants, and was marked by a closing ceremony at the TSG Training Centre in New Kot Lakhpat, Lahore.

During the ceremony, NTDC Managing Director Engr. Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan expressed his appreciation to the Japanese government and JICA for their collaboration in providing training facilities for NTDC staff. He noted that JICA’s contribution, including 32 PC simulators and the grid system operation training simulator, has greatly improved the ability of engineers to operate the power system reliably and safely, ensuring its stability. He also requested continued support for NTDC’s human resource development.

The event saw the participation of general managers from TSG, project managers from JICA, and the attendance of senior NTDC officers, general managers, chief engineers, and deputy managing directors (P&E).
