Master Plan of “New Peshawar Valley” approved
The 8th board meeting was held, with Peshawar Development Authority and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan in the Chair with several other board members. A detailed briefing was discussed about the final master plan of the project. The housing project will be comprised of 1,86,400 Kanal of land. It is said that 41% of this land will be allocated for the construction of residential units and apartments while the 28% area will be dedicated for the construction of roads, 16% will be for the parks and open spaces, 7% for public buildings, 5% will be allocated for the commercial activities and lastly, the remaining 2% will be for the construction of graveyards.
The chief minister empathized with this project as an essential need to control the increasing population in the provincial capital. Other features of this mega project will include the Civil Secretariat, Media Enclave, Sports City, Education, and Health City which will be equipped with world-class facilities.
