KP Saves 840mn on bills with Solar Projects & Planning to Launch More -AHGroup-Pk

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has saved a massive 840 million PKR on electric bills. The cost of bills is saved through actively using solar energy projects in the province. With remarkable results, nine more solar energy projects will be developed soon.

Engineer Naeem Khan, Chief Executive Officer of KPK Energy Development Organization, shared the news of launching nine more solar plants. He also stated that the KPK government is dedicated to developing and promoting solar energy projects to deal with the energy crisis in the province.

The prestigious engineer, Mr. Naeem, along with the secretary of energy & power, stressed the conversion of energy resources for the betterment of the country. He stated that approx. Eight thousand schools, 187 health units and 4 thousand masajids were solarized, whereas 300 masajids and 100 villages were solarized in merged districts.

Meanwhile, for more efforts in conversion to solar energy, 7 thousand masajids and schools will be converted to solar power. Moreover, 312 hydropower projects have been completed in underdeveloped districts of KPK, and 291 more hydro projects will be completed in the project’s second phase.
