IT exports soar, crosses record $2bn mark

Pakistan’s exports of information technology have touched the $2 billion mark for the first time in the country’s history in the outgoing fiscal year.


The data released by the Commerce Ministry reported that the IT Exports grew by 47.4 percent and reached $2.12bn in 2020-21 against $1.44bn in the foregoing year.


In this regard, Commerce Adviser Razak Dawood congratulated the IT exporters for making a historic achievement and stated that he always believed in the abilities of IT professionals.


It is pertinent to mention that in the past five years, the technology companies in Pakistan have seen a growth of 30-50%.
