Commissioner Shares Inauguration Date of RRR Project

Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Mr. Liaquat Ali Chatta shared the completion date of the RRR (Rawalpindi Ring Road) project. He announced that the work on the project would be completed by July 31, 2024.

Currently, construction work is in progress on the bridges over the Swan and Sil River, and on the remodeling of the Thalian Interchange. During the work progress, the traffic network of Ring Road and the motorway is transmitted to alternate routes.

Commissioner Chatta confirmed the project’s commitment to quality construction as 18% of the physical work is completed. He further said that the Parks and Horticulture Authority would provide a plantation plan for both sides of Ring Road. He also announced that the project is expected to be completed by July 31, however, the inauguration is scheduled for August 14.

The RRR project includes the construction of 5 interchanges, 11 overpasses, six canals, 15 subways, bridges on two rivers, and a railway bridge.
