CM Sindh Inaugurated Work on M9-N5 link Road Interchange

Karachi: Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar, Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh, inaugurated construction work on M9-N5 Link Road Interchange in the Kathore area.

CM Baqar highlighted the importance of constructing the interchange to connect the final gap in traffic flow that starts from Karachi Industrial routes via the M9-N5 link project. He further stated this extension has a purpose to enhance seamless transport in the country.

Furthermore, the importance of the M9-N5 link road project cannot be denied as it is Pakistan’s first public-private partnership.

The Sindh Government is committed to fund the project for construction and maintenance for 23 years. During the period, the Sindh government will hold all the revenue generated from the traffic flow. Therefore, the CM insisted on completing the work as soon as possible to get benefits for the province.

As per the agreement, CM Baqar repeated the commitment of the government to regularly provide essential funds for the construction of the project. He further added that the FWO would complete the interchange project in a specified timeline of 12 months.
