CDA Released Information of Retrieved Land from Encroachers
Islamabad: CDA is actively engaged in operations against encroachers in the territory of the federal capital of Pakistan. Recently, the civic body has shared the details of retrieved land from illegal occupants.
According to the details, the Capital Development Authority has recovered 750 Kanal land from sectors 1-12/1, 2 & 3 in the last seven days. The action was taken on strict orders of Capital Development Authority’s Chairman, Anwar-ul-Haq.
It was informed that the civic body took action with the collaboration of multiple governmental departments against Afghan settlement in 1-12 near NUST. The operation against encroachment was made successful with the help of heavy machines. As a result, many temporary structures and livestock enclosures were demolished.
It was also mentioned by CDA that recovered land will be used for various development projects. Moreover, strict action against encroachment was also taken in many other areas of Islamabad apart from I-12, including Margalla Phase 2, Mandi Mor, Simly Dam Road, etc.
It is pertinent to note here that CDA shares the details of retrieved land from time to time, and the encroached land is used for various purposes like public parks and Miywake forests.
