Groundbreaking Ceremony of CPEC’s Yarik-Saggu Motorway Extension Held Today in D.I Khan
Development in the southern region of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has been a promise that has been long-awaited. Finally, the Prime Minister has announced the groundbreaking ceremony of the Yarik-Saggu Motorway, which is part of CPEC’s western route, to be held today.
This 50-km long road connecting Yarik and Saggu will help alleviate poverty and economic insecurity in a region that is deprived of industrial and infrastructural development.
Furthermore, this mega project not only helps bring prosperity and ease to D.I Khan but to adjacent districts of Lakki and Tank Marwat. The western route of CPEC not only makes traveling easier for locals but also provides the shortest route for movement of goods from the Chinese Province of Xinjiang to Gwadar Port, making it a vital geopolitical development for the nation at large.
Routes on the western alignment of CPEC, namely, D.I Khan Zhob and Zhob Quetta, are also going to open soon, providing an infrastructural cover to remote areas of KPK and Balochistan.
