KP govt now possesses ancestral homes of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor in Peshawar

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has owned the crumbling ancestral homes of Bollywood legends Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor in Peshawar.

The Deputy Commissioner announced that the ownership of both houses has now been given to the director of the Archeology & Museum Department.

Last year, the KP government had pronounced to convert both the houses into museums however, the owners had objections and had refused to sell, submitting written objections to the DC Peshawar.

According to the DC Peshawar, legal proceedings have been completed by the local administration by enacting sections 4-6 and 17 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 and a concluding notice has also been sent to the owners to submit the written submission.
