Pakistan Enters Bunkering Market With First Facility
Pakistan has started its first ship refuelling service, known as bunkering, at Karachi Port. This upgrade brings the port in line with global standards and makes shipping operations easier and safer. The service is being handled by Vitol, while Cnergyico refinery is supplying low sulphur fuel for ships. Earlier, ships had to stop in places like Fujairah or Singapore to get fuel. The government says this step will attract more international vessels, increase revenue, improve foreign exchange earnings and strengthen Pakistan’s position in global maritime trade.
