Pakistan and Malaysia Seek Deeper Maritime Cooperation with Cadet Exchanges, Digital Trade
Pakistan and Malaysia discussed expanding cooperation in the maritime sector. They plan to sign an MoU for seafarer training and exchange of marine cadets. Pakistan also offered Malaysia access to its digital port systems and suggested direct shipping routes to reduce trade costs. Both sides will continue technical talks to finalise the details. Pakistan also announced its candidacy for the IMO Council, highlighting its efforts to improve port systems, maritime safety and green shipping.
