First Women Entrepreneurship Policy on the Cards
The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Haroon Akhtar Khan announced that Pakistan will soon launch its first National Women Entrepreneurship Policy to support women’s economic participation. Speaking at an event organized by FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and SMEDA (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority), he said women are becoming strong business leaders and must be given fair opportunities. FPCCI and SMEDA leaders also stressed that Pakistan’s progress depends on the full involvement of women in business and industry.
